Read the headline above from an article while waiting in the Doctors Office. It continued "If you are serious about a new home, moving up to a larger home or downsizing there won't be a better opportunity in our lifetime". That one sentence just about wraps up the millions of words that are being broadcast on news and cable stations..........No need to add anything else. I remember getting 9.5% interest on a home loan thinking I had made the deal of the century. No one knows when the window of opportunity will begin closing on the great rates and low prices. It isn't going to happen overnight, but I believe the first change we will see is the number of "quality homes" being offered at incredible prices, then the surplus inventory will move to homes that need a little TLC to those that need remodeling and that will leave many people wishing they had at least taken a serious look now. America always bounces back...........

Summer is here and the beaches are popping. Speaking of beaches, here's something you haven't heard it awhile......Home sales of beachfront/waterfront properties are up!! We have been saying it for months, "Now is the Time to Invest in a Home" and it seems the Smart Money agrees. Golf course lots also are beginning to see a bit of returned interest, construction of a new home just started on one of Victoria Park's Estate Size Golf Course lots. 4th of July in Florida!

Cities all across America Celebrate the 4th of July, but the Fireworks in Florida are rather special. Imagine your toes in the sand with a picnic on the beach & the Fireworks above.....or kicking back on the banks of the rivers watching the show and listening to live music....or joining tens of thousands at the major fireworks in Orlando and that's not to mention the Superb Celebrations at the theme parks. One of my favorites was in a boat in the middle of Lake Dora a few years ago, it was like a scene out of the movies. Hope everyone made a few memories this 4th all across America.

Has been a busy month. Have a pending sale in Trails West of Deland, a very nice community with mature trees and homes. New construction is showing signs of life as people are finding some foreclosures are less than desireable and comparing to building new, the monetary spread between the resale and new is closer than it has ever been.

Leggoland is coming to Florida, man....it's amazing what they can build with Leggo's! Must say the county has been doing a better job on keeping the beaches clean, went for a beach bicycle ride and everything was super clean. Adios!

There are thousands of blogs on Real Estate, but as the world knows it's really location which is why I will be telling you about Victoria Park in Deland, Florida in blogs to come. This weekend kicks off Bike Week in nearby Daytona Beach, great fun with thousands and thousands of Bikers, Music, Food, Beach, Sunshine...did I mention FUN!!!! So I'll put off the writing about Real Estate for a bit. Whether you ride or not you need to come to Bike Week, nothing like it anywhere else!
